Two men face trial at Galway Circuit Court in connection with the theft of more than €15,000 from another man over the course of several days in late 2018.

Daniel Lukau (22), of Caiseal Cam, Roscam and Eltice Kiki (20), of Ard Alainn, Ballybane have both been indicted on multiple counts of theft from an individual.

Kiki has been indicted on six counts of alleged theft, while Lukau has been indicted on all the same offences, and two more alleged thefts.

The offences are alleged to have occurred between October 19 – 23 of 2018.

Daniel Lukau has been charged with eight counts of theft totalling €16,350, while Kiki, his co-accused, faces six counts amounting to €14,250.

A book of evidence was served on both accused men at Galway District Court this week.

Judge Marie Keane made an order returning both cases to the next sitting of Galway Circuit Court, commencing on April 13, for trial on indictment.
