Galway United has confirmed that Marc Ludden, Sam Warde, Cian Murphy and Micheal Schlingermann are departing the club, and will not be returning in 2021.

Galway United thanked the four players for the time and service they have given to the club, and wished them well in their future careers.

Manager John Caulfield said that it’s known that United intends to move to full time structures from next year, and that this will no suit everyone.

“I’d like to place on record my thanks to the lads and wish them well,” Caulfield added.

“The club would especially like to thank Marc Ludden for his service over the last seven seasons at Eamonn Deacy Park. We wish him well.”

It was also announced this week that Caoilfhionn O’Dea, Wilson Waweru, and Mikey Place will be returning to Eamon Deacy Park in 2021 after extending their contracts.
