GALWAY LGFA: Senior Round-Up (Saturday, 22nd September 2018)

Claregalway Hotel Senior Championship Results

Moycullen 1-16 Caltra Cuans 2-10

In just their first year among the senior ranks in Galway ladies football, Moycullen secured a county semi-final spot after this three-point victory in Caltra on Saturday.  It’s a phenomenal achievement by the west county side who face Corofin next week.

Kilkerrin/Clonberne 5-15 Annaghdown 0-2

Six-in-a-row chasing Kilkerrin/Clonberne concluded their group campaign away on Friday totaling 25 goals over their three games.  Kevin Reidy’s team can now look forward to a repeat of the 2016 final against Claregalway while Annaghdown’s season is over.

Corofin 3-20 Dunmore MacHales 0-12

In a tighter group then the final table suggests, Corofin knocked out last year’s semi-finalists Dunmore MacHales to move within 60 minutes of another county final appearance.  Three saves were crucial against their North Galway rivals but three goals allowed them cruise to victory.
