Forvis Mazars has moved its Galway team into new city centre offices after doubling its workforce over the past four years, reflecting growing demand for audit, tax and advisory services across the west of Ireland.

The firm’s 117-strong team has relocated from Mayoralty House to a 16,500 sq. ft office on the top floor of the Hynes Building on St Augustine Street. The new premises provide room for further expansion as the firm continues to invest in its people and services in the region.

Established in Galway in 2004 with just 10 people, the practice recently marked its 20th anniversary and has grown to become the largest accountancy and tax advisory firm in the west of Ireland. Its expansion reflects both the development of indigenous businesses and continued international investment in Galway and the wider region.

Austin Sammon, lead partner in Galway, said, “When we opened in Galway, we were a team of 10 with big ambitions. Today, we have almost 120 people and those ambitions are stronger than ever. This move gives us the space to keep growing, develop our team and support more businesses across the west.”

“We have grown alongside our clients, from owner-managed businesses building their presence locally to international companies establishing and expanding operations here. Their needs have evolved and we have continued to invest in the expertise they need at each stage.”

“Galway has a strong combination of ambitious businesses, international investment and talented people. We see significant opportunities ahead and this investment reflects our confidence in the city and the wider region.”

The Galway team supports clients across sectors including construction, life sciences and technology, combining local knowledge and relationships with the specialist expertise and international reach of the wider Forvis Mazars firm.

The new office keeps the team in the heart of Galway, close to clients and the city’s business community, while creating capacity to welcome more colleagues as the practice expands.

The investment forms part of the continued growth of Forvis Mazars in Ireland, which, now 6th largest nationally, has more than 1,000 professionals across Dublin, Galway, Cork and Limerick.
