Met Éireann issued yet another weather warning for rain in Galway today, but it’s not all bad news.

Today’s miserable weather will make way for some warmer temperatures by tomorrow and Tuesday will see spells of sunshine with temperatures in the mid-20s.

Tomorrow (Monday) will be dry and very warm with highs of 22 degrees in places but it will be cloudy for the most part with just some sunny spells developing during the day.

Met Eireann says a few spots of light drizzle are possible though, and that moderate to fresh southwest breezes will be strong or very strong at times near the west coast.

Tuesday will be the best day this week, with more sunshine and high temperatures forecast.

After a misty start, some sunny spells will develop and temperatures could reach 24 degrees.

However, it will become cloudier in the west in the evening and Tuesday night could see outbreaks of rain developing.

Wednesday will be slightly cooler and it will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of showery rain.

Thursday will be wet and windy, with widespread heavy rain at at times. Highest temperatures will be around 21 degrees.

Friday looks like it will be a brighter day, but also slightly cooler.
