Two Galway towns hit with outages from burst water mains

Galway daily news Water outages in multiple areas of Galway due to burst mains

Two big water outages have hit Loughrea town and Ros Muc in Connemara today due to burst water mains.

Irish water reported that the town and village both experienced damage to their water networks in the past hours.

In Loughrea the burst main is causing water outages to Cosmona, Caheronaun, Danesfort, Main Street, Loughrea and surrounding areas.

The outage in Connemara is affecting Ros Muc and Kilbricken and the surrounding areas.

A traffic management plan is in place in both areas while repairs works are being carried out.

Irish water have yet to give an estimated time for when residents in the affected areas can expect their water to return.
