M6 motorway reopens after early morning traffic accident

One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries following a two vehicle traffic collision on the motorway near Oranmore this morning.

Gardaí were called to the scene of a two vehicle collision involving a car and a van on the M6 outside of Oranmore

The accident too place at approximately 7am on Monday morning.

One man was taken to University Hospital Galway with minor injuries as a result of the collision.

The motorway was closed after the incident, but has since fully reopened.
