Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after an alleged serious assault left a man in his 30s hospitalised and in critical condition earlier this week.
Shortly after 6:30pm on Monday, Gardaí and emergency services responded to an incident on the street at Adelaide Street, Sligo.
A man in his 30s is being treated for serious injuries in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, and remains in a critical condition.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.
Anyone in the vicinity of Adelaide Street, Temple Street, John Street on Monday, September 28, between 5:30pm and 6:30pm, who may have video footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
