More than two hundred homes and businesses on Inis Mór are without electricity this afternoon due to a power outage.

The power outage affecting a total of 236 properties on the island was caused by a fault in Carraroe according to the ESB’s Service Interruption Map.

The fault occurred at approximately 1:16pm this afternoon, and is expected to be repaired this evening.

Repairs are underway, and are currently expected to be completed by 5pm this evening.
