A female pedestrian has been hospitalised after a traffic collision involving a car in Knocknacarra this morning.
Gardaí are investigating after a woman was hit by a car at a pedestrian crossing on the Western Distributor Road.
The incident took place at approximately 8am on Friday morning.
The female pedestrian was taken to University Hospital Galway.
A Garda spokesperson said that her condition is not believed to be life threatening.
