Galway city news Water outages in Salthill due to burst mains today

Multiple neighbourhoods in the Claddagh may experience water outages overnight on Thursday.

Irish Water has advised that due to multiple sets of maintenance and repair works in the area, homes and businesses may experience water outages and disruptions from 7pm this evening to 7am on Friday morning.

Valve repair works are being carried out on Saint Mary’s Road that will disrupt the water supply to properties along the road, Crescent Mews and surrounding areas.

In addition mains repair works are being carried out nearby at Palmyra Park that will affect the water supply their as well as to Saint Mary’s Road and other nearby areas.

Both sets of works are expected to be completed by 7am tomorrow morning.

These works are part of Irish Water’s National Leaks Reduction Programme.

Households are advised that it may take 2 – 3 hours for full water supply to be restored after works are complete.
