Galway Daily sport Planning refused again for Oughterard sports facilities

St. Mary’s GAA club of Athenry are working on a major revamp with new pitches and other facilities.

Planning permission is being sought for two grass pitches, an astroturf pitch, ballwall, and walking path at the Athenry GAA club.

The land for these new facilities is a mixture of existing club grounds and adjacent agriculturally zoned land.

Submissions to the county council concerning this development can be made up until May 1.

A final decision is due from the council by May 22 on whether to grant planning permission.
