Gardaí are investigating the unexplained death of a man in his home in Galway city on Wednesday
The man in his 20s was found unresponsive at his residence on the morning of Wednesday, April 29.
The young man was later pronounced dead.
The body has since been removed to the Mortuary at University Hospital Galway.
A post-mortem is scheduled to take there place at a later date.
This death is not thought to be COVID related a garda spokesperson said.
Gardaí are awaiting post-mortem and toxicology results to determine the course of a their enquiries.
Investigations are ongoing.
