The Department of Health has reported 3,174 new cases of COVID-19 in the State this afternoon.
A total of 460 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised nationally as of 8am today, of whom 86 are in ICU.
There has now been a total of 5,492 deaths related to COVID-19 notified in Ireland.
This includes 56 deaths newly notified in the past week – since last Wednesday.
Health officials have said that daily case numbers may change due to future data validation.
