Galway Daily news 25 percent drop in COVID cases in Galway hospitals

There have been a further 1,706 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported by the Department of Health today.

As of this morning there were 347 patients in the country hospitalised with COVID-19.

Of these people 60 are in serious condition, and are being treated in the intensive care unit.

Daily case numbers may change in the future after the data has been validated and reviewed.

A walk-in vaccination centre for anyone aged 12 years or older is open at Ballybrit today for people to get their Pfizer vaccine.

The Cabinet subcommittee for COVID is due to resume Friday’s meeting on proposals for the lifting of public health restrictions tomorrow.

The draft plan will then be put to a meeting of the full Cabinet on Tuesday for consideration.
