A man has been arrested and is due before court today over a fatal crash in the west of Ireland which occurred yesterday.
A man in his 70s was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and a car in Co. Clare on Thursday morning.
The crash occurred on the N67 at Ballyvaughan at approximately 10:30am and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his 40s was arrested as part of this investigation and detained at a Garda station in County Clare.
He has since been charged and was due before Ennis District Court on Friday morning.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N67 at Ballyvaughan between 10am and 10:45am on Thursday 27th July 2023 are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
