Galway Daily news 25 percent drop in COVID cases in Galway hospitals

Health officials have reported 788 new cases of Covid-19 across the state, and 17 further Covid-related deaths.

Of the cases reported this evening, 61 are in Galway, where the 14-day incidence rate is now 316.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

The median age of those who died was 80 years and the age range was 50-92 years.

A total of 315 new cases are in Dublin, 59 in Meath, 42 in Louth and 33 in Kildare.

409 cases are men and 371 are women, while 71% are under 45 years of age. The median age is 31 years old.
