One east Galway village will be getting an expansion to its sports facilities with the addition of a new walking track.
Caltra GAA Club has been granted planning permission for a 500m metre walking track with lighting and associated site works which will go around the existing facilities.
Galway County Council granted planning permission with a total of seven conditions attached.
The floodlights on site must be orientated and cowled so that light doesn’t spill onto neighbouring lands or public roads.
They also may only operate between 8am and 10pm on weekdays, and 9am and 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
