A section of road in Athenry town will be closed for the next month while roadworks are taking place.
The county council has made an order closing a section of the New Line Road in Athenry until February 28 to facilitate the roadworks.
Work being involves putting in new footpaths from the Monivea Road onto the New Line Road.
The road will be closed to traffic while work is being carried out, but pedestrian access will be maintained.
Motorists who travel on the New Line Road are advised to use an alternative route diverting onto the Monivea Road via the R347. Alternatively, divert from the Monivea Road onto the New Line Road via the R347.
