Ardrahan GAA and Camogie Clubs will host a Health and Wellbeing Day in association with Healthy County Galway this Saturday (29th September).
The event will take place at Ardrahan GAA Club and, to celebrate World Health Day, Croi Heart and Stroke will also be in attendance to provide free health screening and free health talks.
Starting at 10am until 4pm, there will be talks about healthy school lunches, healthy meals for busy people and healthy snack ideas by a dietician from Croi.
Scheduled Group Walks will take place at 11.30am and 3pm as participants are encouraged to up their step walk. And there will be Warm Up and Cool Down sessions led by the Croi Health Team and Ardrahan GAA.
Other activities include Gentle Yoga, Information Stands on Health and Wellbeing, mixed blitz and skills challenges, free health screening all day and a talk on ‘The Lifecycle of a Carrot.’
The Healthy Club will be launched at 2.30pm and to conclude the day with celebration, Ardrahan Camogie Club celebrates its 21st birthday at 2.45pm.
