Ladies Day at the Connacht Hotel crowns Connacht’s most stylish lady

The Connacht Hotel was the home of style in Galway this Ladies Day, fashionistas flocked from near and far to take part in the Hotels annual Most Stylish Lady competition.

The judging team of Millinery Jennifer Wrynne, Make Up Artist Hayley Coleman and Blogger Kieran O Malley had the difficult task of selecting a winner from the stunning style on show.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions the event was Virtual with the Connacht Hotel’s photographer taking snaps of the stunning fashion which the judges poured over later to eventually pick a winner.

The Connacht Hotel hosted brunch in the newly renovated Bar Solo with the competition which offered an opportunity for Ladies Day fans to get the glad rags on and enjoy a stylish day out.

Judge Jennifer Wrynne was blown away by the effort that the ladies had gone to, saying that the style brought a sense of normality to these strange times.

Fellow judge Hayley Coleman agreed that it was great to have an opportunity to dress up and spend time with friends while they watched the Races on the big screen.

The eventual winner was Michelle Drysdale who wow the judges in an stunning timeless ensemble.

Her dress was actually her Debs dress from 25 years ago which was taken up by Victorias Alterations in Craughwell, her shoes were Lodi, the headpiece was from Hats Life Hire Wexford finished off with a bag from Pennys, truly a worthy winner.

Hopefully the Races will return to normal for 2021 but the Connacht Hotel team excelled in making the best of a bad situation this year.
