A weather warning for rain and thunderstorms is in place for Galway for the third day running.
Met Eireann has issued a status yellow alert covering all of Ulster, Connacht and north Leinster.
Heavy, slow-moving and thundery showers will lead to further localised flooding and hazardous driving conditions today.
The weather warning came into effect at 9am this morning, immediately after a previous alert expired, and will remain place until midnight.
Some sunny spells are expected in Galway today, mixed in with prolonged blustery rain.
Average temperatures of 15 to 16 today with strong westerly winds.
