Galway Daily news Status yellow fog warning in place

Motorists should be careful on the roads tomorrow morning, as a national weather warning for mist and fog will be in place.

A status yellow weather warning for all of Ireland forecasts that “mist and fog will form again tonight, becoming dense, especially in some midland areas, leading to poor visibility.”

The warning covers from 1am on Monday morning until 11am, so the weather should have cleared by the late morning.

Though the day will be mostly overcast on Monday, Galway can expect to get some bright spells in the late morning and early afternoon as well.

The sun will peek out from behind the clouds for several hours, and there will be some scattered areas of clear skies as well.

Temperatures tomorrow will range from a brisk morning of 4 – 5 degrees, to highs of 14 degrees in the afternoon, with light variable winds throughout the day.

There is no rain forecast for Galway on Monday according to Met Eireann, with conditions staying dry into Tuesday and Wednesday also, though Tuesday will have more persistent overcast skies.
