Galway is one of six counties included in Met Éireann’s latest weather warning which will come into effect overnight.

The forecasters have said that it will become wet and windy tonight and during Friday morning, with strong and gusty southerly winds developing.

They warned that heavy rainfall may cause some localised flooding.

The rain will clear to sunny spells and showers for the afternoon and maximum temperatures will be between 13 and 16 degrees.
