Temperatures set to fall again with frost and icy patches forecast

Temperatures are set to drop to between -2 and 2 degrees in Galway tonight with Met Éireann warning of frost and icy patches.

It will be cold and mostly dry, with clear spells and light winds. Mist and fog are possible in eastern parts of the county.

Tomorrow (Friday) morning will be cold and dry, with any frost and fog patches gradually clearing as the day goes on.

There will be some bright spells during the morning, but cloud will increase and rain will develop in the west in the early afternoon before spreading eastwards.

Highest afternoon temperatures will be between 7 and 9 degrees Celsius in freshening southerly winds.

Friday night will be wet and breezy with rain spreading eastwards across the country and becoming widespread. It will be heavy at times, with the risk of localised flooding.
