St. Patrick’s Day looks set to be a warm and dry day with good sunny spells, as high pressure continues to dominate across the country.

Some cloud will build through the afternoon but temperatures will be between 11 and 14 degrees Celsius and it will remain bright in most parts.

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow weather warning for fog tonight though, coming into effect at 3am.

The warning will remain in place until 9.00am and also affects Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Monaghan, Roscommon, and Sligo.

High pressure will dominate for the rest of the week and into the weekend, bringing mostly dry and settled conditions.
