Galway Daily weather Weather warning as further snow showers forecast

Another weather warning has been issued for freezing temperatures and hazardous conditions in Galway overnight on Tuesday.

Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow Low Temperature/Ice warning for all of Connacht, as well as Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Longford, Louth, Meath, and Westmeath.

From 9pm tonight, freezing temperatures will create hazardous conditions, with icy stretches on roads and footpaths.

The weather warning will be in effect for 12 hours, until 9am on Wednesday morning.

Temperatures are expected to drop as low as -2 degrees overnight in Galway again on Tuesday, after a similarly freezing night yesterday.

Things will continue to be chill for much of the week, with Met Eireann even forecasting snow showers on Thursday.

However, temperatures will pick up once again over the week, and sunny skies will give way to the usual rain once again.
