Galway Daily news Snow and Ice warning in effect for Galway this evening

Met Eireann has issued a another weather warning for dangerously icy conditions on Thursday, creating a driving hazard in the morning.

The status yellow ice warning will be in effect from midnight on Wednesday until noon on Thursday.

During this time, a band of wintry precipitation will sink southwards with the potential for black ice/freezing rain on surfaces.

This latest alert is on top of the the warning issued earlier today for low temperatures and ice on Thursday night.

Temperatures are expected to fall as low as -4 degrees widely across Ireland, bringing hazardous conditions with them.

That alert will be in force from 10pm on Thursday until 10am the following Friday morning.
