A fresh weather warning for snow has been issued for County Galway, with 5cm of snow possible across much of Ireland on Friday night and Saturday morning.
Met Éireann’s latest yellow warning will begin tomorrow (Friday) night at 2am and will remain in place until midday on Saturday.
It comes into effect just 18 hours after the two current weather warnings for wind and snow expire.
Snow accumulations of 5 centimetres with more on higher ground will be accompanied by fresh to strong southeast winds, Met Éireann has said.
Nineteen other counties are included in the latest weather warning.
Two status weather warnings are currently in place in Galway which will be lifted tomorrow morning at 8am.
