Galway gets yet another weather warning

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow weather warning for rain in Galway which will come into effect this afternoon.

The warning will be in place from 4.00pm today until 12.00pm tomorrow, and will affect seven counties along the west and south coasts.

The weather experts say that spells of heavy rain will move from the West, giving 25 to 40 mm of rain and a risk of localised flooding.

The southwest will be the worst affected, as well as mountainous areas, but the warning will also apply to Clare, Cork, Kerry, Mayo, Waterford, and Wicklow.
