Fifth weather warning issued for Galway this week

Galway has been issued yet another weather warning by Met Éireann ahead of strong winds tonight.

The warning comes into effect at 11.00pm, and will be lifted at 6.00am tomorrow morning (Sunday).

Met Éireann says that strong winds will reach speeds of 50 to 65 km/h with gusts between 90 and 100 km/h. Winds will be strongest along coastal areas.

The Halloween weather warning is Galway’s fifth this week, in what has been a mostly mostly miserable end to the month.

And the bad news is that the stormy condiditons are set to continue, with more cold and windy weather expected to dominate in the first week of November.
