Galway Daily weather Met Eireann issues fresh weather warning for Galway

Met Éireann has issued another status orange warning for low temperatures today, which will come into effect at 6pm.

It will be bitterly cold again on tonight with temperatures below -5 degrees expected widely away from coastal areas.

The forecasters say this will lead to severe frost and ice, and patches of freezing fog will cause hazardous driving conditions.

The warning will begin today, Thursday, at 6pm, and remain in place until 12 noon on Friday.

Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Tipperary, and Westmeath are also affected by the warning.
