Galway Daily weather Weather warning for heavy rain in Galway tonight

A weather warning for heavy rain and possible flooding in Galway over the coming day is in effect this afternoon.

Met Eireann have issued a status yellow rain warning for Galway, Clare, and Kerry today.

The weather warning states that “heavy rain may lead to localised flooding”, and will be in place from midday today until noon on Tuesday.

A small craft marine warning for all Irish coastal waters is also in place today, warning of southwest winds reaching force 6.

This will be in effect from midday on Monday until 6am on Wednesday morning.

The first half of this week will have mixed conditions, as rain will persist at times on Tuesday and Wednesday, with sunny spells mixed in.

Better conditions are expected on Thursday according to Met Eireann, with light cloud early in the day, but a clear bright afternoon and evening time.
