GLEN CELTIC AFC 

Hard luck to our Senior team who lost out 1-0 in the Divisional Cup Final to Moylough last Friday evening (1st June).  Moylough scored with three minutes to go in the second half of extra time.  It was a tight fought game with few chances on both sides.

Team: Seamus Comer, Adrian Divilly, Sean Gallagher, Kay Sarpong, James Burke, Aaron Hynes, Steven Fox, Michael Heneghan, Simon Stachurski, Ciaran Trautt, Catahl Hynes.  Subs: PJ Shanks, Jason Connelly, Micheal Geraghty, Paul Dolan, Owen Newman.

Thanks to all Supporters who came up to Kilkerrin to support the lads.

Glen Celtic AFC’s Senior team who went down 1-0 in the Divisional Cup Final

Our U12 boys had a win against St. Cuans in Castleblakeney in a very sporting game.  Goal scorers: Iarlaith O’Toole (3), Kaylum Divilly (2), Shayne Ward and Dylan Joyce 1 each.

Our U14 boys had a 2-4 win in Strokestown.  Glen Celtic built up a 0-2 lead with Eugenio Netto scoring the two goals, Strokestown replied to make it 1-2 then Aaron Comer scored a few minutes before half time putting Glen Celtic 1-3 up at half time.

Strokestown got an early goal in the second half but Dean Reilly wrapped it up a few minutes before the end to give Glen Celtic a 2-4 win.

Our U9 boys, U11 boys and all girls teams had a break last week with no matches scheduled.

U14 boys are in Shield Semi-Final this week.  U7 boys welcome Roscommon to Glenamaddy for a friendly game on Wednesday evening ahead of their first league match. Their league kicks off on Saturday (9th June) at 11am in Glenamaddy with Dunmore as the visiting team.

The U11 boys are scheduled to play in Roscommon on Friday evening.

KILKERRIN UNITED

Here are this week’s notes from Kilkerrin United.

U12 boys had a good 4-0 win away to Dysart with goals from Shayne Gordon (2), Tomás Lee & Joe Mullin.

U14 boys lost out 6-2 to Roscommon United despite goals from Darragh Lyons & Dylan Donelon.

Congratulations & best wishes for the future to Tomás Meehan & Maria Dunleavy on the occasion of their marriage.
