Connacht gearing up to face the Cheetahs this month

Galway Daily sport Connacht v The Cheetahs

Connacht are gearing up for a showdown with the Conference A leaders The Cheetahs from South Africa in the Sportsground towards the end of the month.

The Cheetahs and Connacht are playing here in Galway on Saturday, October 26 with kick off at 5:35pm.

The South African side have had a strong run in the Guinness PRO14 season so far, scoring 151 points so far, the latest crop of which came from a 40 – 16

However this is their first away game of the season and Connacht fans always have a great turn out when supporting their lads at home.

Both sides will also be keeping in mind the record of their last two games which both went Connacht’s way.

They last met in February when Connacht came out on top 25 – 17 with captain Jarrad Butler scoring a critical last minute try.

The Cheetahs only other recent visit to the Sportsground also went against them when they lost to Connacht 23 – 15 in the previous season.

The Connacht management team will announce their squad at 12pm the day before the game.

A small number of seated tickets at the Grant Thornton Stand are still available to purchase, with more open at the Bohermore and College Road ends.
