LISTEN: “It Came Around Pretty Quick” – STEPHEN GLENNON

Stephen Glennon

Galway Ladies Football manager Stephen Glennon has an impressive track record against Mayo since taking the reigns before the 2017 season.  Two Winter Leagues, the 2017 Connacht senior and All-Ireland under 21 crowns have all been one at the neighbours’ expense.

Indeed, his only blot came in the 2018 National League when Peter Leahy’s side left Pearse Stadium with a 2-7 to 1-7 result but both teams still made the semi-finals.

Glennon chatted to Galway Daily before Sunday’s (24th June) Connacht Senior Ladies Football Final against Mayo and chatted about their league loss to Dublin, the good mood in the camp, another provincial trip to Castlebar, the new championship structure, Cora Staunton and why this could be one of the best Connacht Finals in years.

Galway meet Mayo in the 2018 Connacht Senior Ladies Football Final on Sunday, 24th June.  Throw-in at MacHale Park, Castlebar is 4pm.
