Some crucially important in the Ocean Hygiene Supplies and Packaging under 16 hurling championships will take place next week as trophies will be decided and teams will learn their qualification faiths.

On Thursday (30th August), Duggan Park, Ballinasloe hosts the A1 double header with two titles to be decided.

Cappataggle and Sarsfields to head-to-head in the A1 championship final at 6.30pm in what promises to be an intriguing affair.  The Bullaun/New Inn outfit edged their opponents by 1-15 to 0-15 in May so expect it to be close.

And it could even be closer in the A1 Shield Final throwing in at 7.45pm when Michael Cusacks face Castlegar.  They couldn’t be separated in the round-robin series finishing 2-14 to 3-11 and the floodlights may be required before that one is decided.

Ballinasloe is also the venue on Monday (27th August) when Craughwell take on Skehana/Mountbellew-Moylough in the B Championship semi-final replay.  The teams have finished all square twice already this season and Kilnadeema/Leitrim could be kept waiting to find out their final opponents.

And there are also two games to conclude in the group stages of the A Championship.  Athenry are already guaranteed a semi-final place having a 100% record from five games but both their opponents are playing for top four slots.

Gort visit Athenry on Monday (27th August) at 6.45pm needing a win to give them a chance.  And at the same time on Wednesday (29th August) in Lackagh, Turloughmore will advance to the semi-finals if they get one over the group leaders.
