GAA: Ballinasloe Oskars Support East Galway and Midlands Cancer Unit

At a recent launch of Ballinasloe GAA OsKaRs, they were delighted to announce that their chosen charity is EAST GALWAY & MIDLANDS CANCER SUPPORT UNIT, Brackernagh, Ballinasloe.

Tickets for the OsKaRs night on the 7th December 2018 in the Shearwater Hotel are now on sale, priced at €30 each and a contribution from every ticket sold will go to this deserving charity.

Included in the price is a mull wine reception, free programme and a free raffle with great prizes.  There will also be finger food and live music afterwards.

This is a BLACK-TIE affair and gives you the opportunity to dress up and have a very unique night out in Ballinasloe. This is the first opportunity ever in Ballinasloe to be part of a Gala night at the movies.

You will be witness to seven well known films, each condensed into 10/12 mins with an array of local talent on show. All filming will be done locally with many well-known locations easily identifiable.

The seven films have been announced and rehearsals are well under way. They are as follows;

Calendar Girls, The Snapper, Sister Act, The Field, Rocky, The Full Monty & Shawshank Redemption.

The cast are in the midst of rehearsals so please support and encourage them in their fundraising efforts.

Tickets are available from cast members, the Shearwater Hotel, East Galway and Midland Cancer Support Brackernagh, or from club secretary Gerry Seale (087) 2376976.
