Galway Daily weather Met Eireann issues fresh weather warning for Galway

The recent cold spell is expected to get even worse tonight, with Met Eireann issuing a weather warning as temperatures are expected to drop below freezing.

The status yellow weather warning will be in place for Galway and 21 other counties from 8pm tonight until 9am on Monday morning.

Minimum air temperatures tonight will range between -2 and -4 degrees.

Met Eireann is also warning people to expect widespread frost forming overnight with a risk of icy patches.

Things are expected to pick up as the day goes on, with temperatures rising as high as 6 degrees by the end of Monday.

The warning is in place for all of Connacht, along with counties Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary.
