Met Éireann has issued a status yellow weather warning for rainfall for the entire country tomorrow and says the West will be the worst affected.

“Heavy thundery downpours on Friday will lead to high intensity rainfall in a short period of time,” reads the warning by Met Éireann.

Localised spot flooding is possible, and at present, the Western half of the country is most at risk.

The weather warning will be in place from tomorrow, Friday, at midday  until 9pm tomorrow evening.

Meanwhile, Met Éireann has also issued a Blight Warning for some counties along the western coast, with Donegal likely to be the worst affected.
