Two young people have been arrested following an assault in Galway city early this morning.
A man in his 40s was attacked at Riverside, Woodquay at around 3am this morning.
The victim was badly injured in the assault and was taken to University Hospital Galway,
His injuries are not reported to be life threatening.
Gardaí are investigating the incident.
Two people have been arrested in connection to the assault and are being questioned by Gardaí at Galway garda station.
