The Christmas Park and Ride shuttle bus service has begun today, taking people to and from the city centre for the holiday period.
Up to Christmas Eve, bus will run from Galway Racecourse to Eyre Square every 15 minutes, to help cut down on traffic.
Monday to Saturday the bus service will run from 9:30am to 9:15pm, with buses every 15 minutes both ways.
On Sundays, the service will run every 15 minutes from 11:00am to 7:00pm, and every 30 minutes between 7.00pm and 9.15pm.
The trips cost €1 each way, with kids and pensioners going free. All day parking at the Racecourse is included in the price.
