Storm Jorge swept through Galway yesterday, with terrible winds causing extremely hazardous driving conditions.
While downed trees and flooding were the main cause of stress for motorists during Storm Jorge, one truck had a much more direct confrontation with the wind.
Gardaí were called to a overturned truck near Maam Cross on Sunday which had been completely blown over by high winds.
Fortunately, gardaí said that the driver of the truck was uninjured.
The last weather warning for Jorge expired at midnight on Sunday after a harsh day that saw Galway under a Status Red wind warning for several hours during the afternoon.
