A status Orange warning for wind has been issued for County Galway ahead of Storm Callum tomorrow night.

Met Éireann say that strong southeast winds associated with the storm coinciding with high spring tides will affect Ireland on Thursday night and into Friday morning.

The weather warning comes into force at 10.00pm on Thursday night, and will last until midday on Friday.

The winds will be at their strongest overnight gusting between 110 and 130 km/h on the coasts.

Donegal, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Kerry, Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath, Cork and Waterford have also been issued with a status Orange warning for the Storm.

The remaining nineteen counties have been issued with a status yellow warning by Met Éireann and the Met Office.
