Galway rail services changes this Easter weekend

Due to service changes and alterations being made to the tracks, changes have been made to rail services in Galway over Easter weekend.

Due to work on an underpass on the Athlone to Mullingar Greenway there are some changes on the Dublin to Galway and Wesport rail services this Easter weekend.

Irish Rail will be operating bus transfers between Tullamore and Ballinasloe for Galway services from Friday, April 19 to Monday, April 22.

Bus transfers will also be running from Tullamore to Roscommon for passengers travelling from Dublin to Westport.

A number of other services to and from Galway will be disrupted on Friday and Saturday die to line improvement works.

The full details of what trains are being affected can be found on irishrail.ie/service-updates/irishrail-engineering-works.

Passengers travelling by rail this weekend are advised to check Irish rail’s journey planner to see if their train has been affected by the timetable changes.
