Plans submitted for block of apartments in Rahoon

Plans have been submitted to the city council for the construction of a new block of apartments in Rahoon.

Dragamara Limited is seeking planning permission build a four story block of apartments at an infill site on Bóthar Stiofáin, Rahoon.

The development will consist of 18 apartments divided among 4 one-bed units, and 14 two-bed units.

Before any construction work begins the developer intends to demolish existing basement structures on the site and associated infilling.

The new housing building will be served by 22 car parking spaces and “secure bicycle parking spaces” according to the plans submitted to the council.

An existing vehicular entrance to the site on Bóthar Stiofáin would also be closed off as part of the development, and a new entrance and drop-off point built at Cloch Ard, Bóthar Stiofáin.

The city council is due to make a decision on this planning application by Dragamara by May 21
