Galway daily news galway syndicate claims 133,000 euro prize

One lucky person in Galway is €4 million richer today after winning the jackpot prize in Saturday’s lotto draw.

The winning lotto ticket for the €4,051,610 prize was sold at Joyce’s Supermarket in Doughiska.

Pat Joyce said that they were “thrilled to bits” to have sold the winning ticket and asked any customers who’ve shopped there in the past few days to check their ticket.

“It’s great to bring the lotto to Galway, really delighted,” the supermarket owner said, finishing with a rousing “Up Galway”.

The winning numbers in last night’s draw were 9, 10, 34, 37, 40 and 47, and the bonus number was 7.

There were two new millionaires created yesterday, as someone in Offaly also claimed the €1 million jackpot in the Lotto Plus draw.

The winning numbers in that draw were 3, 25, 28, 34, 42, and 47, and the bonus number was 11.

That ticket was sold at a Spar Maxol on Church Road, Tullamore.
