A Boil Water Notice for roughly 400 homes in the Tully-Tullycross has been lifted this weekend after being in place for two weeks.
The team in Uisce Éireann, following consultation with the Health Service Executive (HSE), can confirm that the water is now safe to drink, prepare food with, and use as normal.
The notice has been lifted following the completion of works and a series of satisfactory water quality tests. It was issued on Sunday, 11 October following operational issues at the water treatment plant.
We understand the disruption and inconvenience the notice has caused for customers and would like to thank everyone in the community for their support while the necessary work was carried out.
Tony Kelly of Uisce Éireann said, “This is welcome news for the community. We understand how disruptive a Boil Water Notice can be and I’d like to thank customers for the patience, cooperation and kindness they showed to our teams while this notice was in place.
“Our drinking water experts have worked hard to resolve the issue, and we are delighted that customers can now return to using their water supply as normal.
“I also want to express our thanks to elected representative and the media for their assistance in sharing public health information while this notice was in place.”
