City vigil in memory of New Zealand terrorist attack victims

Galway Anti-Racism Network is holding a vigil in Eyre Square this evening in memory of those killed in the terrorist attack in New Zealand this week.

Christchurch, New Zealand has been in shock after a vicious islamaphobic terrorist attack on two mosques in the city has left 49 dead.

Sympathy and outrage have poured in from around the world at the actions of a group of far right extremists.

GARN is holding a vigil in Eyre Square at 7pm this evening “to stand in solidarity with the victims of the terrorist atrocity”.

The gathering will hold a moments silence and provide a space for people to pay their respects.
