More time sought to build Tuam supermarket

More time is being sought to complete a commercial development of supermarket and two retail units in Tuam.

Regalview Ltd Tuam has requested an extension of duration to planning permission granted for the supermarket project back in 2014.

The development on the Cloontooa road in Tuam also includes car parking, site access and associated infrastructure works.

No construction has taken place on the commercial development yet, but work is due to begin this October with a view towards finishing in March 2021.

The EOD is seeking a further five years added to the grant of planning permission.

A decision is due from Galway county council by March 24.
